Armortan® is one of several new technologies introduced to the market for the new millennium. In this instance, it aims to improve the abrasion resistance of basic glove leather.

Abrasion Resistance
Leather’s structure consists of microscopic fibrils which are randomly intertwined together to form fibre bundles. Armortan® is a new generation of chemistry which is focused on these fibril bundles within the leather structure.

The fibril bundles are encased by microscopic ceramic "armor plates" which are more resistant to abrasion, thus increasing the durability of the leather by preventing wear on contact surfaces and materials.
