Take a few minutes to become familiar with your bivy before you are depending on it in the outdoors. A short practice session at home will reduce set-up time significantly.

Wrapped in the bivy you will find a four-section Delrin pole, a five-section Delrin pole, and five pole ends with snap fittings. One of the pole ends is included as a spare. Spread the bivy sack out with the grey side on the ground and unzip the opening.

Roll back the storm flap on the roof section of the opening. You will find a white pole sleeve just inside the zippers. Slide the longer, five-section pole through this sleeve. Slide the pole ends on to the tips of the pole and connect them to the snaps that face the inside of the bivy.

Assemble the shorter, four-section pole and slide it through the grey sleeve on the outside of the bivy. Slide the pole ends on and connect them to the snaps that face the outside of the bivy.

Slide your sleeping pad in and secure it by wrapping the hook and loop straps around it. This will keep the sleeping pad in place and prevent you from rolling or sliding onto the Gore-Tex® fabric.

Care: Machine wash cold with powder detergent, or wipe clean with a damp sponge. Hang to dry. Mildew will grow on the bivy if it is stored wet for any length of time.
