I picked up a pair of these gloves to use along side my OR Overlords and Camelback FR gloves. I figured that for the price they could at least stay in the range bag if they didn't hold up. It turns out these are outstanding gloves with OR's typical excellent fit, great stitching, and incredible dexterity. I would recommend these gloves to any MIL/LEO user looking for an affordable FR glove for field use.

I'm looking for a set of gloves that can provide lots of grip and comfort for weapons manipulation, but also double as climbing gloves. How are these in terms of performing both tasks?

  We have several low bulk tactical gloves but I'm unclear on what you're looking for as a "climbing glove?" What type of climbing are you looking to perform in the gloves?

  These are excellent gloves for weapons manipulation. I don't know how they would hold up to climbing, except to say that I've never had a pair of OR gloves that had bad stitching, and these have double layers of leather in the high wear areas.
